This 4-day safari in Northern Tanzania offers a combination of wildlife viewing and cultural encounters, centred around key locations such as Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Eyasi. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be transferred to Arusha, the safari gateway, where your journey begins with a brief introduction to the region's landscapes and communities. The itinerary then takes you to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and distinctive baobab trees, where you'll undertake a full-day game drive to observe diverse animal species including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various antelopes. You’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a game drive within this volcanic caldera that supports a dense concentration of wildlife. Here, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and potentially the rare black rhino. The crater floor provides a natural sanctuary for these species, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a picnic lunch amid this environment. The journey continues with a cultural immersion at Lake Eyasi, where you will meet the Hadzabe people, one of East Africa’s last hunter-gatherer tribes, to learn about their traditional lifestyle and survival skills.Later, you will visit a traditional Maasai boma to gain insight into the customs and daily life of this prominent Tanzanian ethnic group. This cultural experience complements the wildlife-focused days, providing a broader understanding of Tanzania’s heritage. The safari concludes with a return to Arusha, marking the end of the trip. Throughout the safari, you’ll travel in a 4x4 Land Cruiser with a professional English-speaking guide, ensuring a private and informative experience across these significant Tanzanian locations.
